just a few words to tell my fellow new yorkers about a hidden gem: the Bronx Museum. do pay a visit: right now, there is a very insightful exhibit of Paulo Bruscky, a Brazilian whose life as an artist was born after political upheavel began....as well as having on view a very wonderful collection of work which includes a selection of photographs by Jamel Shabazz....
looking at Bruscky's work made me reflect on how brave artists who chose to speak out against a repressive system are....
anyway, this is as eloquent as i can get.
do check this out: it's free and the work is amazing!
a not so gritty kitty who does live in the city....a (properly) roaming khaat whose eye loves to linger... take pictures....& bake challah!
